Brand Story
In Georgia, 70% of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are unemployed. At Brewable, employees with IDD, affectionately known as “Brewistas,” gain the skills and confidence to achieve long-term success. Their hard work is rewarded with more than just a paycheck, but a sense of pride, purpose, and belonging. For Brewistas and customers alike, the greatest value comes in the form of shared smiles and conversations across the counter.
“It’s only a matter of finding your place.”

Impact Video
Equipped with nothing but an iPhone 15 Pro Max, Premiere Pro, and sheer determination, I filmed and edited this video over a series of weeks leading up to its debut as the emotional appeal at Brewable’s 4th Annual Superheroes Fundraiser Brunch on October 6th, 2024 at the Computer Museum of America.
Brand Mission
To create meaningful, paid employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD); To offer valuable, real-world job experience; And to foster an inclusive community environment where connection brews confidence.
Brand Vision
To enrich and empower adults with IDD to live and work authentically; to demonstrate the value of inclusivity in our community; to normalize the everyday experience of neurodiversity without novelty; and to function as a microcosm of the kind of society we all deserve.
Brand Values
Contrary to popular belief, great minds do not always think alike. Brewable is driven by the philosophy that differences in ability do not equate to absences thereof. They believe everyone has something to offer—it’s only a matter of finding your place.
Visual Identity
This rebrand marked a new chapter of growth, helping Brewable gain recognition and attract support from corporate sponsors, donors, and community partners. Four years and countless fundraisers later, Brewable has expanded from its humble beginnings in the Alpharetta Community Center lobby to a second standalone coffee house in Roswell. Today, Brewable employs 22 adults with disabilities—and counting!
Logo Design
As the charming logoscript stirs up warm-fuzzies, it cradles a stylized coffee cup, from which a heart-shaped steam cloud emerges—or perhaps a palmier bobs, if you’re hungry—symbolizing warmth and kindness. The flowing lines and soft curves embody Brewable’s commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive experience for all, serving up not only smooth coffee but also a sweetly inclusive spirit.
Color Palette
Brewable’s primary color palette consists of sky blues, cloud white, espresso, and caramel brown to evoke an airy yet grounded sense of comfort. These coffee-inspired and climatic elements share a common thread: their role as unifiers, bringing people together in shared spaces—whether on a small or large scale—to deepen interpersonal connections and inspire a greater sense of purpose.
Each color choice reflects a unique aspect of Brewable’s mission and unwavering commitment to fostering inclusivity and community.
Type System
The script and sans-serif duo, Thistails, resembles hand-drawn letterforms, conveying friendliness and adding a grassroots touch. Both typefaces come with “rough” alternatives that create a chalky, stamp-like effect. The organic, rounded edges and subtle imperfections invite a sense of familiarity, making the audience feel right at home—much like the chalkboards found in both cafés.
Additional typefaces, Quicksand and Good Mondays, enhance readability and accessibility, especially for large amounts of body text.
